With a number of new categories, the Heating Installer Awards is open for entries, where there will be more chances to win than ever before.

After a record-breaking eighth year, the awards will open on Monday 2 October and will once again provide recognition to the best installers in each region of the UK, with regional winners being crowned in April before heading to an exclusive regional winner’s event to celebrate their brilliant achievements.

The winner from each region will then go on to do a technical challenge set by the previous national winner, James Bowen, and moderated by CIPHE, in a bid to be crowned the National Heating Installer of 2024.

In addition to the regional, sustainable, and rising star categories, the 2023/24 awards will also recognise the HVAC Installer of the Year. The HVAC award will celebrate F-Gas certified installers who have delivered a system to customers that not only heats but also cools their home and improves air quality and ventilation.

Following a rise in popularity, this year, the sustainability category is also growing. The scheme will award the most sustainable installer in the North, South, and Midlands to give sustainable installers more chances to win than ever before.

The awards will also continue to recognise the industry’s apprentices and those still in training, with the Rising Star award. This category celebrates the next generation of Heating Installers and commends them for their hard work and commitment to the trade.

Supported by CIPHE, Installer Online, The IPG, Polypipe, Refresh PR, Samsung Climate Solutions and Stelrad, the awards are free to enter and provide a unique opportunity for heating installers up and down the country to demonstrate their highly skilled work, join a close-knit community, and network with influential businesses as well as fellow installers.

On top of this, finalists will also be in with the chance to win prizes from a bundle worth over £10,000, which includes a vast array of products from sponsors and partners as well as money-can’t-buy prizes.

After entries close on 29 February 2024, an expert judging panel made up of industry experts, professional bodies, and installers will choose the regional winners (national award and sustainability category), as well as an initial shortlist for the HVAC and Rising Star categories.

The overall winners will then be decided by a combination of judges’ scores, peer-reviewed technical challenges and a public vote, with the five category winners plus the national winner and runner-up announced at InstallerSHOW in June at the NEC.
