A Sidmouth plumber has become the first headline prize winner through The IPG App, claiming a £3,000 holiday to New York in a nationwide rewards campaign sponsored by Bristan.

Dave, a lifelong Sidmouth resident and regular customer of IPG member Fords South West, secured the prize after entering through The IPG App, which rewards installers for supporting their nearest independent member.

While Dave’s trip to New York is the biggest prize awarded so far, it joins a growing list of rewards already won through the platform. From a Nintendo Switch 2 console and Xbox Series X bundle to multi-tools, dashcams, a BBQ kit and stadium tour tickets, dozens of tradespeople across the UK have already picked up prizes through The IPG App, with even more competitions and giveaways still to come.

Dave said:

“I’m chuffed to bits, to be honest. It’s hard to take in that you’ve won something like this until it actually happens. When Tom from The IPG phoned to tell me I’d won, I thought it had to be one of my mates having me on. It’s only now that it’s starting to sink in.

“My wife has already started making plans for the trip, so we’re both really excited. We’d love to see a show while we’re out there and getting up to the crown of the Statue of Liberty is definitely on the list.

“I’ve always liked supporting local independent merchants because I’m local myself. You get looked after and if they haven’t got something in stock, they’ll do their best to get it in for you.”
